Whole-body Cryotherapy Chamber

A treatment used to reduce inflammation and swelling, improve circulation and promote healing and recovery. It works by exposing the body to extremely cold temperatures for a short period of time, usually two to three minutes triggering a natural anti-inflammatory response. This service can also be used to help reduce stress, increase energy, and improve overall health.

What to Expect

When undergoing whole body cryotherapy, individuals enter a cryotherapy chamber or cryosauna where they are exposed to extremely cold temperatures, typically ranging from -140°F to -150°F for a duration of 3.5 minutes. Patients wear minimal protective clothing, such as gloves, socks, and undergarments, to protect sensitive areas while allowing most of the skin to be exposed to the cold. During the session, individuals may experience an intense cold sensation, followed by a tingling feeling as blood circulation increases. After the treatment, many report feeling invigorated, with reduced muscle soreness and inflammation, as well as improved mood and energy levels. It is common to feel a temporary sense of euphoria due to the release of endorphins.

Contraindications

Whole body cryotherapy is generally considered safe for most people, but it is not suitable for everyone. Contraindications include individuals with severe cardiovascular conditions such as uncontrolled hypertension, heart disease, DVT, arrhythmia, pacemaker, or history of heart attack. Pregnant women, individuals with unmanaged diabetes, and those with severe nerve conditions should also avoid this therapy. It is essential to consult with a healthcare provider before starting whole body cryotherapy to ensure it is safe based on individual health conditions and medical history.
